A fine 19th century French Louis Philippe miniature commode. Bookmatched veneer of mahogany with beautifully patterned wood grain and inlaid linear detail. Six dovetailed drawers, four with small turned wood knobs. Expert craftsmanship with precisely fitted drawers and nice proportions. Miniature furniture samples were used to showcase the skill of the cabinetmaker. Perfect for storing treasured objects or for use as a jewelry box or men's valet.
