A 19th Century French Empire miniature commode. A well executed miniature chest made of walnut and veneer of walnut with two large drawers below a smaller top drawer and with solid walnut columns. Inscription written in ink on the back of each of the large drawers: Don D'Amitie which means made and given in friendship. Circa 1800-1820. 13"w x 7.75"d x 11.5"h. Perfect for storing treasured objects or for use as a jewelry box or men's valet.
