A 19th century French Louis XVI style marquetry commode made of mahogany with inlaid veneers of mahogany and walnut. Three dovetailed drawers with interiors lined in green fabric. Cast bronze hardware. Escutcheon's are newer and the two back sabots are replaced. White marble top. Turned tapered legs with inlaid detail and brass sabots. Oak as a secondary wood. Minor veneer loss. A good sturdy cabinet with nice proportions and fine craftsmanship. Perfect dimensions for use as a nightstand or side table. Circa 1850-1860
