An early 19th century French Louis Philippe mahogany commode, or chest of drawers with marble top. Fine craftsmanship with book-matched flame mahogany veneer retaining a nice luster. Oak as a secondary wood. Four dovetailed drawers, with clean interiors. Polished cast bronze hardware. Locks are present, but no keys. Minor veneer losses. No restoration. All original. Circa 1820-1830.
