A vintage mid century Italian Murano art glass parrot or exotic bird sculpture by Alfredo Barbini. Rare bright yellow color, hand-blown using bullicante technique (controlled bubbles) on the body and wings paired with gold leaf inclusions (aventurine) throughout the glass. Tall, elegant curved body and curled tail feathers. Presents beautifully, but unfortunately, it has a few flaws: a crack in the tail feather and internal fractures in the front of the head and stem of the perch. Price reflects the condition.
