A large French Art Nouveau bronze mounted glazed ceramic planter or cache pot from Longchamp, Burgundy. Vibrant hand-painted colorful flowers with bright green foliage and metallic gold accents are dramatically offset on a dark brown ground. Chinoiserie style cast gilt bronze griffin handles, decorative rim and footed base. Longchamp mark is impressed on the underside. A beautiful decorative planter for the display of orchids, ferns or topiary. The bottom has a misfiring flaw to the glaze on the bottom, but this is not a crack or structural flaw. Circa 1900-1920.
