A fine early 19th Century French Louis Philippe travailleuse, or work table used for storing sewing implements and embroidery silk. Made of walnut with two dovetailed drawers, each with working lock and key and a deep pull-out compartment below. Marquetry top has inlaid veneers of walnut, birdseye maple and mahogany and hinges open to reveal divided storage compartments. Sturdy turned spindle legs. No restoration, retaining a nice polished luster. Circa 1820-1830. Shipping: $200
