A vintage mid century modern bowl or ashtray by Ben Seibel for Jenfred-Ware. Heavy cast composite alloy plated in copper with sculptural aesthetic featuring a polished rim and ribbed "thumbprint" interior with deep concentric rings. Manufactured by Jenfred Ware. Felted base with original label. Nice patina with light scratches on rim and slight oxidation of interior. Ben Seibel (1918-1985) was a highly prolific industrial designer renowned for bringing organic sculptural home accessories into mainstream mid-century American households. He was the primary, exclusive freelance creator behind the aesthetic identity of Jenfred-Ware, established in 1948. Circa 1950s. Shipping: $20
