A large green glazed earthenware lidded jar made in Portugal. Beautiful rustic green drip glaze. Bulbous body, arched loop handles and a matching doomed lid. Old repair on bottom. Similar to French pot à confit pottery vessels, these would have been used in a typical cellar pantry to store food over the winter months. Nice decorative elements especially when several sizes and shapes are grouped together. Circa 1920s
