Vieux Paris porcelain (Old Paris) refers to the highly decorated, richly gilded very white porcelain made by over 30 independent factories in and around Paris, competing with the royal Sèvres factory from the mid-18th century to around 1880. Known for its elaborate styles (Rococo, Neoclassical) and ornate, colorful hand-painted designs, often with no single maker's mark, making it a prized antique for its craftsmanship and historical luxury. Produced by different factories, not a single entity, competing with the royal Sèvres factory.
