A pair of late 19th century French Henriot Quimper faience statues, or figurines, of Perric and Channik. Polychrome enameled earthenware, hand-painted in yellow, green, blue and purple. These Breton figurines are part of a tradition of portraying charming, rustic peasant figures in Quimper pottery. In Breton culture, Perric and Channik are traditional given names, reflecting the historical influence of names derived from Latin and Celtic roots in the region. Names at the base and marked on back: HR Quimper. In good condition. Channik with some restoration on her cross and the yellow trim of her dress. Circa 1895-1910. Shipping: $40
