19th Century Louis XV Style French Tall Case Clock or Morbier clock

A 19th century Louis XV style French walnut horloge de parquet, or tall case clock, in two parts. The body has a paneled door crafted from a single plank and carved with a rosette decoration. A simple five-point star is carved into the case. The top has a large chapeau de gendarme crown and original glass panes. The bottom base was replaced in the early 20th century. The enamel clock face has Roman numerals and a decorative cast bronze surround with rooster. Seven day Morbier movement strikes on the hour and once on the half. Professionally cleaned and in working order, keeping good time. Good craftsmanship with pegged and mortise and tenon construction. Nice wood grain with waxed patina.
