A 19th century French faience fleur-de-lys wall pocket, commonly used as a wall vase for flowers or as a decorative item. Hand-painted in beautiful vivid colors of blue, green, yellow and orange on white ground and decorated with the coat of arms with the phrase Je me souviens (I remember). In good condition with minor glaze loss. Made by Alcide Chaumeil, a significant French faience artist whose work is highly regarded by collectors, often mentioned alongside other notable producers such as Quimper, Desvres, and Malicorne. Unglazed back is marked CA. Circa 1890-1900. Shipping: $30
