An early 19th century Country French plate rack made of solid cherry and pine. Five shelves with hand-carved rails above a low buffet, or sideboard with three drawers for silverware and a lower shelf for pots. Nice rustic quality with simple hand-carved decoration and a notched rail to hold spoons. Good craftsmanship using mortise and tenon and pegged construction. The bottom was shortened at one point with new feet and bottom plank. Restoration on front left cornice. Circa 1800-1820.
