A set of nine early 20th Century English lawn bowls, made of solid turned lignum vitae wood. Each ball with natural light and dark grain pattern, carved incised rings and inlaid bone scoring plugs. The set includes seven 4-1/2" diameter balls and two 3-1/4" balls. Some with carved mark: Mancho alongside numbers. Each varies in condition, two with deep cracks. Nice for use as decorative element, shown displayed in a bowl (sold separately). Lignum vitae is a very hard wood used for lawn bowling and bocce balls. Circa 1900s Shipping: $80
