A fine 19th century French Napoleon III marquetry jardinière, or cache pot, made with inlaid veneers of burled walnut with mother of pearl inlay and ebonized trim. Bronze mounted with two handles, gallery and corner ornaments. Original removable zinc liner has a small split in the seam and is not water tight. Overall good restored condition with minor losses. A beautiful planter for the display of orchids or ferns. Circa 1880-1900
