A large Mid 20th Century still life painting by Hungarian artist Gyula Paksy (1912-1997) depicting a brass bowl, a copper pan, a brass mortar and pestle and four glass jars on a white tablecloth. Realistic rendering of shiny surfaces and transparent objects, dramatically lit on a black ground. Signed and dated 1964 lower right. Oil on canvas in original gilt frame. Light water stains on the bottom white frame liner.
