An 18th Century French Louis XV Provincial buffet, or sideboard, originating from the Burgundy region. Handcrafted from thick planks of richly figured solid walnut, featuring panel moldings on the doors and a beautifully scalloped bottom apron. Supported in front by short cabriole carved snail feet. Large iron hinges and decorative iron escutcheons with working lock and key. Nice proportions and large scale, providing ample storage. Minor restoration on feet, but otherwise normal wear for a 200+ year old antique. Circa 1760-1780
