P.E. Gane Ltd was a prominent British cabinet maker, furniture manufacturer, and retailer active from 1909 to 1954 and known for pioneering the Arts & Crafts movement, Art Nouveau, and later International Modernism, in Britain. In 1880 Philip Endres Gane partnered with Trapnell & Son, a renowned firm of premier cabinet makers and designers based in Bristol, England, with an exceptional reputation for luxury home furnishings. They famously imported timber from overseas, allowing them to use premium cuts for their intricate veneering. The company officially rebranded to P.E. Gane in 1909 when Philip Enders Gane became sole proprietor. The company initially crafted traditional, historicist furniture from Jacobean to Neo-Classical, before shifting toward Arts & Crafts and Art Nouveau styles.
