A Louis XVI style French marquetry cabinet or bookcase made with inlaid veneers of mahogany and various exotic woods. Oak as a secondary wood. Two doors with wire mesh and working lock and key, open to one adjustable shelf. Pull out green faux leather covered shelf, or writing surface. Bottom cabinet doors with working lock and key and one interior shelf. Original thick marble top. Cast bronze corner decorations and brass hardware. Nice quality and craftsmanship with fine inlay trim. Circa 1940-1950.
