19th Century Normandy Armoire or Display Cabinet

A 19th century Louis XV style Country French armoire, or display cabinet from Normandy. Made of solid oak with fine hand-carving throughout, including a three dimensional flower basket below the crown and floral bouquets at the top of each door. The door center panels each have beautiful carved floral relief and wire grillage. Original brass hinges and escutcheons. Working lock and key. The interior has three shelves, which are lightly nailed in place, but may be removed. Interior lights added at a later date, wired and in working order with a line switch on a cord tacked to the back. Waxed patina. Good craftsmanship using pegged construction. Minor losses to carved details. Circa 1880-1900.
