A late 18th century French wooden wine press screw, repurposed as a pedestal or plant stand. This large solid oak screw was originally used in French vineyards for the wine-making process. Dark rich patina from age and use with a large split down one side. The top and base are later additions to convert it into a functional pedestal. Circa 1780-1800.
