A 19th century French Louis XV style Rococo bronze mounted jardinière, or planter, on a pedestal stand. Kingwood marquetry veneer retains the old French polish finish. Decorated with two Sevres hand-painted porcelain oval medallions. The top has handles and may be used as a serving tray. The tin liner is water tight and is easily removed for planting. Nice large scale for display of orchids or ferns. Good restored condition with minor veneer losses. Circa 1880-1900. 25"W x 16"D x 30"H
