An exceptional 19th c. black forest bear hall tree with umbrella stand and mirror. Made of linden wood and finely carved, with a bear looking up the tree trunk to a cub sitting on an upper branch. Excellent condition with only a few small upper branches missing. Both bears have glass eyes. Original small oval mirror with old silvering. Mirror frame with carved oak leaves. Upper branches provides hooks for hats and coats and a looped branch holds umbrellas and walking sticks with a zinc tray at the base. Circa 1850-1860. 84"h x 26"d x 32"w.
