A late 19th century French bronze sculpture by Hippolyte Francois Moreau (1832 – 1927) entitled "Les Cerise" depicting a beautiful young girl holding a basket of cherries. Nice casting with polychrome patina. On a rotating base with a title placard. Signed H. P. Moreau. Hippolyte Francois Moreau was a French sculptor from Dijon famous for his bronze statuettes of young women. The son of the renowned sculptor Jean-Baptiste Moreau, he grew up learning from his father’s workshop. Circa 1894. 23"H x 8" Diameter. Weight: 32 lbs.
