An early 19th century French Louis-Philippe period console made of bookmatched veneer of flame mahogany with oak as a secondary wood. Sculptural front legs ending in scrolls and resting on a plinth base with curved front and lion's paw feet. Beautiful dark wood grain with French polish finish. Dovetailed construction. Hidden dovetailed drawer beneath the original white marble top. Minor veneer losses. Circa 1820-1830. 19"D x 47"W x 35"H
