A 19th century Louis XV style console from Belgium made of solid oak with elaborate hand-carved corner decoration and a large shell carving in the center. Two shelves spaced 7" apart. Waxed finish. Original shaped grey Bleu Turquin marble top. This console table converts to a plant stand or window box by removing the marble top. There was once a zinc planter box, now missing, that fit beneath the marble. Perfect for seasonal flowers and greenery displays. Marble has been repaired. A small piece of corner trim is missing and a small piece has been replaced, front left. A rare matching pair of buffets are also available and all three pieces were found in a hotel. Circa 1880-1900. 18.5"D x 36.5"W x 33.5"H
