An 18th century Louis XV style country French buffet from Normandy made of solid hand carved oak with fine hand carvings. The buffet has three dovetailed drawers to store silverware, each with cast brass pulls. Two cabinet doors with large brass escutcheons and hinges, open to a single shelf. Working lock and key. Large scalloped apron with carved branches and garlands. Waxed patina. Exceptional craftsmanship using pegged and mortise and tenon construction. All original. Small repair on hinge of left door. Circa 1740-1760.
